Acupuncture
This ancient therapy is still used today and is effective in the treatment of a variety of disorders and supporting the body to rebalance and heal. Acupuncture uses small, thin, flexible needles inserted at particular points to stimulate the body to release neurotransmitters and hormones into the bloodstream. These biochemical and energetic responses assist the body in general healing, pain relief and normalizing organ function.

Chiropractic Care
Chiropractic care focuses on the role of the spine and nervous system in maintaining good health. Chiropractic adjustments aim to restore optimal range of motion and nerve function, allowing the body to self-regulate and heal. Adjustment techniques can be done manually or with the use of a small “activator” tool which is very safe and gentle. This latter technique is termed VOM, or Veterinary Orthopedic Manipulation, and is a very useful modality for both dogs & cats.

At IVC, we use class 3 laser tools that through the principle of “photochemistry”, modulating biochemical reactions via the absorption of photons or light.
Laser therapy is used to reduce pain and inflammation and promote tissue healing, making it quite useful for many conditions including injuries, arthritis, skin disease, wound healing, post-operative surgical healing and internal medicine conditions.
